Backing up your computer has always been important, but not always easy. That is changing with services such as SugarSync and Mozy. These services provide a download executable that resides on your computer. After initial configuration of what files you want backed up, it automatically uploads all files on it’s first run. From then on the services upload incremental file changes on a schedule that you set in the configuration.

In an attempt to ease the burden of small business owners managing the infrastructure of required to operate online. The Microsoft Office Live, provides all the basics required to go from bricks and mortar to clicks and hits. The program offers free webhosting, free custom domain name and 100 custom email addresses for the 1st year. We’ve all been around the block a time or two by now with this issue. I’m sure you’ve experienced that sinking feeling in your stomach when you boot up the computer only to find your hard drive has died. Luckily, it only happens to you once. Then you understand the importance of having frequent and recent backups. You’ve probably bought a secondary hard drive for your system. Maybe, like me, you religiously create cd /dvd backups just in case of a double drive failure. Yep, you’ve learned your lesson.

Maybe… maybe not. I recently ran into a situation that hadn’t occurred to even me. And I have seen it all! :)
